Brilliant Pup is owned and operated by Emily Wolf, KPA-CTP, CPDT-KA, FDM.
Emily has always loved dogs, and inspired by her passion for saving dogs and cats, she founded the Boulder based non-profit, Summit Dog Rescue in 2009.
After years in rescue work, she realized that saving the lives of dogs is only half the battle, we need to teach them how to live in a human world. In addition, we need to educate humans as to how dogs communicate, and how they learn.
While undertaking rescue work, Emily attended and graduated from the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy, and is a KPA Certified Training Partner. She also holds a certificate as a Trainer and Behavioral Consultant from the Misha May Foundation in Denver. She is certified as CPDT -KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed). In the summer of 2021 she earned her certification as a Family Dog Mediator, learning the L.E.G.S. method to assess dogs and coach their people!
When Emily isn't training or rescuing dogs, she lives with her family in North Boulder along with 2 cats and a rotating foster dog for Summit Dog Rescue. She also works as Gigi Moss's assistant trainer at Good Dog Club and Puppy Social Classes!
